How Skill Chamber uses AI, with safeguards for responsible educational and training use.
Effective Date: 31 May 2026
Skill Chamber uses artificial intelligence to support teacher-led, trainer-led, and organisation-led practice. This page explains how AI functions within the platform and the safeguards we use to promote responsible use.
1. Purpose of AI in Skill Chamber
- Facilitate interactive speaking, writing, and scenario-based practice
- Support structured role-play aligned with learning or training objectives
- Provide qualitative feedback on communication, fluency, clarity, reasoning, and expression
- Help educators and trainers identify patterns that can inform follow-up teaching
2. AI as a Support Tool, Not a Replacement
Skill Chamber is intended to extend and reinforce human teaching, training, and coaching. Educators and trainers define objectives, supervise activities, interpret feedback in context, and retain responsibility for formal evaluation.
3. No Automated Grading or Significant Decision-Making
Skill Chamber does not assign formal grades, determine academic progression, rank learners for institutional decisions, or make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
The platform provides qualitative and advisory feedback. Formal assessment decisions remain the responsibility of the relevant institution or organisation.
4. Transparency of AI Interaction
Users should be informed when they are interacting with AI-generated content. Prompts, responses, and feedback are produced by automated systems and may occasionally be incomplete, imprecise, or contextually limited.
5. Safeguards and Responsible Use
- Exercises are designed around defined learning or training objectives
- Practice can be shaped for the institution, audience, and context
- Teacher or trainer oversight remains central
- The platform is not designed for high-risk decision-making or unsupervised formal evaluation
6. Data and Model Training
Learner conversations may power AI responses inside the relevant session or application environment. They are not used to train Skill Chamber systems or the foundation models behind them unless a separate written agreement explicitly says otherwise.
7. Institutional Applications
Skill Chamber applications are normally provided to organisations under separate contractual agreements. Each client environment is designed to be isolated, with its own scenarios, learners, and evaluations.
8. Ongoing Development
We continuously evaluate and improve the reliability, usefulness, and safety of the platform. For questions about how Skill Chamber uses AI, contact hello@skillchamber.com.
